• Single Storey - $1,050.00 - $1,200.00 per m2
• Two Storey - $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per m2
• Single Storey Contemporary - $1,150.00 - $1300.00 per m2
• Two Storey Contemporary - $1,350.00 + per m2

The above pricing is based on a flat section in Canterbury and on our standard inclusions.

What does the square metre rate include?

• This includes floor coverings. The square metre rate is only an approximate figure and cannot be fully determined until all the interior and exterior details have been finally decided and approved by the client.

Does Carl Taylor Homes have standard plans?

• Yes. All of our plans can be viewed at the Portfolio page.

Does Carl Taylor Homes sell its plans?

• No. We do not sell our plans.

Does Carl Taylor Homes build on hills?

• Yes. We build on a case by case basis.

What steps do we need to follow if we want to build with Carl Taylor Homes?

1. Meet with Carl Taylor and, in plain language, work out a design brief and budget target. This will include the inclusions.
2. Make a personal appointment with our architect to discuss general layout of the home. He will also meet you on site.
3. Now your plans can start, our architect will produce sketch plans for you to discuss matters for improvement.
4. When you are totally satisfied with the plans we will then price them.
5. Building agreements are then prepared for you, detailing payment. Construction will start within three weeks from building consent.

How long does it take to build?

• At present we are allowing 25 weeks for a single storey home.

How does Carl Taylor Homes project manage the build?

• Carl Taylor personally oversees the construction from start to handover.

Is there support available to assist us with interior design and kitchen selection?

• We will arrange for you to meet our interior and kitchen designers.

Does Carl Taylor Homes build other plans?

• Yes. We will build anyone’s plans.

Does Carl Taylor Homes offer a guarantee?

• Yes. We are members of the Registered Master Builders Federation and offer you a 7 year guarantee.

Will there be any extras?

• No. Once you have signed the contract that is all you have to pay. Any subsequent variations or requests will be detailed, costed and signed off by the client.
